Fast scanning, including colour
With the CD-4070NW, scan speeds for black and white images range up
to 42 pages per minute in Simplex mode and 85 images per minute in
Duplex mode. Documents can also be quickly scanned in greyscale or
mixed mode – or front pages can be scanned perfectly in colour.
Reliable feeding
A high-precision paper feeding mechanism handles a variety of sizes
from bank cheques to B4 pages, or even forms printed on
pressure-sensitive paper. Images can be easily optimised. Advanced
Text Enhancement improves legibility with hard-to-scan documents,
colour removal increases OCR accuracy, and there's also blank page
deletion.
Searchable PDF files
When scanning documents as PDF files, you can apply OCR and have the
entire text embedded in the file, enabling you to search for all
pages and even specific words. A high compression setting is
included to keep file sizes manageable.
Touch panel
A high resolution, 8.4 inch touch panel brings true simplicity to
every operation. The clear display also makes it easy to preview and
check document images.
Rapid CD-R recording
52 x read/write capabilities and track-at-once writing ensure that
CD-Rs can be read on a wide range of CD drives. Continuous operation
is possible with no interruption during processing, with extra CD-Rs
recorded whenever needed.
Convenient configuration
Documents can be organised into cabinets and folders for easy filing
and fast retrieval, with the ability to save configurations as
templates for re-use on subsequent CD-Rs. Automatic keyword
functions allow data to be automatically extracted from a specific
area of a fed document, via OCR - which recognises diverse fonts
including MICR characters.
Scan to a networked PC
When linked to your office network the CD-4070NW can be used to scan
documents to a network folder, allowing documents to be shared
without having to record a CD-R. Scanned documents can also be sent
by e-mail to individuals or groups simply by selecting addresses
registered in the CD-4070NW.
Remote search and retrieval
Using a simple web browser interface, network users can search, view
and download documents stored on the hard disc drive. Searches by
the Full Text Search Engine are lightning fast, with files
searchable by key word, file name, file type, date, directory or any
word in the text. |
