CD Replication & DVD Replication

CD replication is a term used to describe large quantity copying of CDs. CD replication is the industry standard for making mass quantities of a CD. Replication is done via the process of glass mastering and stamping of CDs. This is in contrast to CD duplication where CD-R technology is used to create smaller quantity runs. CD replication is done for quantities above 1000 CDs. Any quantity below this range would fall under the short-run classification.

Only the latest technology is used in production of our glass masters. This and the CD pressing takes place under the highest of quality controls. CD replication quantities are available from 1000 upwards - for less than 1000 refer to CD-R.

CD Press disks (CD-ROMs or CD Audio) are moulded in polycarbonate and then printed on the top surface. Orders for CD replication normally take 7 – 10 working days to complete.

CD Duplication & DVD Duplication

CD duplication is a term used to describe short-run or small quantity copying of CDs. CD duplication came about in the late 1990s as a way to circumvent high production cost and quantity requirements for CD replication. CD duplication is generally done in quantities from 1-999. Any quantity in this range would fall under the short-run classification. CD duplication offers identical sound quality to a replicated CD, though there are other limitations.

• CD duplication can be used for quantities that would normally be too small for a replication run.
• CD duplication allows for a lower cost entry into a data or music project.
• CD duplication generally has a much faster turn around time than CD replication.

Fulfilment

Both types of CD and DVD can be packaged and shipped in jewel cases, PVC wallets or on a spindle. These can include inlay cards and artwork all produced to your specification.

For successful duplication of your CD's all we require is your final CD-R master, your artwork and proofs. (Artwork to be supplied on disk for laser printing, or final films for screen and litho printing.)

Business Card CD-ROM Available in two capacities, 30MB & 100MB. CD-ROM business cards allow you to deliver your presentation in a truly eye opening way. The 30MB card measures 85mm by 58mm and holds 30MB of data, more than adequate for most presentations, plus the 100MB card measures 85mm by 68mm.
